PEACE...

This is the season of the year that you would think that there would be the most peace in the world with celebrating the Birth of Christ, and even all the other religions celebrating Hanukkah, Quanza or whatever. I was watching the news the other day and a store had a huge Christmas sale and the people were going nuts running all over each other. So many people are caught up with "what am I getting and what are you getting ME". I had an inspiring moment one day when I was younger, watching Home Improvement of all things. The whole family took their Christmas gifts went down to a shelter and gave them all away and then they served food to the homeless, and I remember thinking that is Awesome. I have talked to my wife and we are going to continue to have fun and celebrate Christmas, but we are going to find ways to incorporate SERVING into our Christmas and teach our kids about serving during this "Season". There is nothing more Peaceful than serving others.

Blessings,

Zac

That's awesome. I too was "broken" at a young age. My mom would always make huge meals for lunch on the weekends when I was younger. We'd make up plates with all the goods (better than we normally ate) and drive around until we found someone in need of a meal so that God could bless their day. I'll never forget some of the people we met and will forever be greatful for being "broken" by those experiences. I've neglected to be sure my kids experience some of those things where we (no matter how little we "think" we have) can serve and be blessing for others. God has used you to inspire me and I am commiting today to "break" my kids so they too will be a weapon for God.
